General Information About the Department

Ophthalmology Clinic was established with the merger of Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital and Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospitals. Our clinic serves as a reference center and offers advanced diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases in a wide range from rare to frequent with its academic and experienced staff. It is also an international center that accepts patients from abroad.


Diagnosis and Treatment of Diseases

A wide range of eye diseases are diagnosed and treated in adult and pediatric patients. These include visual disturbances, cataract diagnosis and treatment, early glaucoma diagnosis, follow-up and medical and surgical treatments, diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases (age-related macular degeneration-yellow spot disease, hereditary retinal diseases, retinal vascular occlusions, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, vitreous diseases, intraocular drug applications), corneal diseases (keratoconus diagnosis and treatment, corneal transplantation, contact lens applications including scleral lens, dry eye diagnosis and treatment, allergic eye diseases, corneal infections), childhood and adult eye shifts (strabismus) amblyopia (treatment of lazy eye), botox applications, surgical treatment), neuroophthalmological diseases (diagnosis and treatment of optic nerve diseases), uvea diseases (Behçet's disease, uveitis, choroiditis diagnosis and treatment), oculoplastic diseases diagnosis and treatment (eyelid abortion, eyelid tumors, cosmetic valve surgeries), congenital and subsequent tear duct obstruction diagnosis and treatment are made.

Which diseases does the clinic look for?

Visual disturbances, cataract, adult and congenital glaucoma, strabismus, keratoconus, dry eye, eye allergies, eye infections, eyelid deficiencies, retinal detachment, macular diseases (yellow spot disease), diabetic retinopathy, eye laziness, optic nerve diseases, Behçet's disease , uveitis disease, cosmetic disorders of the eyelid, eyelid contractions (blepharospasm) eyelid and intraocular tumors, tear duct obstructions
