Clinical Information

Allergic / Immunological diseases affect more than 20% of the society and take the first place among chronic diseases. Although the discipline of allergy and immunology diseases is a relatively new branch of science, it is rapidly being developed all over the world. It is estimated that approximately 12 million people in our country have allergic diseases. In contrast, there are very few allergy and immunology doctors in our country.

Ankara City Hospital Allergy and Immunology Clinic is one of the few centers that provide services on immune deficiencies and allergic diseases. Our hospital is organized in such a way that polyclinic services and inpatient follow-up and treatment procedures can be carried out successfully. The clinic currently provides services with 3 outpatient polyclinics, 4 allergy immunology test rooms and outpatient treatment rooms including 1 inpatient ward having the capacity of 10 beds. Ankara City Hospital Allergy and Immunology Clinic serves patients in Turkey as they provide service for international patients. Our clinic is in coordination with all reference centers that accept patients in Turkey. 

Which Patients get examined in our Allergy and Immunology Clinic?

We serve adult patients above the age of 18 diagnosed with (or being suspected of) clinical allergic and immunological diseases

Allergic rhinitis (allergic cold) / allergic sinusitis

Allergic conjunctivitis (eye allergy)

Immune deficiencies

Drug allergies

Food allergies

Insect allergies (e.g. bee allergy)

Chronic cough

Dermatitis (eczema)

Urticaria / angioedema (hives)

Which Procedures are carried out in our Allergy and Immunology Clinic?

All of the following approaches which are necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunological diseases can be performed in our clinic. All procedures are carried out under the supervision of a physician. Nurses and technicians work here 

and they have been trained on allergic and immunological diseases as well as testing and treatment methods they apply to.

Allergy skin tests (prick test, intradermal test and patch test)

Drug provocation (loading) tests

Food provocation (loading) tests

Respiratory function tests

Bronchial provocation test

Immunotherapy (allergy vaccine application)

Necessary approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of immune deficiencies, immunoglobulin replacement (completion) treatments

Drug desensitization (Drug acclimation therapy)

Biological agent treatments (such as antiIgE and antiIL5 treatments applied to treat severe asthma and urticaria)

Specific IgE measurement
