PATIENTS RIGHTS
All patients;
1. Have the right to benefit from services in general: Access to healthcare services within the frame of Justice and Equity.
All patients have the right to get service regardless of Race, language, religion, sect, gender, philosophical beliefs, economic and social conditions.
2. Have the right to get information and ask for information: All patients have the right to get to know all types of healthcare services and opportunities have the right to make a request for all kind of information about his/her health condition verbally or in written form.
3. Have the right to choose and change the healthcare facility and staff: All patients have the right to choose and change the healthcare facility and benefit from the services offered in the chosen facility and get to know the identities, duties and titles of the physicians as well as the other hospital healthcare workers who offer/to be going to offer service and to choose and make a change among them.
4. Have the right to privacy: All patients have the right to access to all types of healthcare services in an environment respecting your privacy.
5. Have the right to reject, withdraw and consent: All patients have the right to reject the treatment to ask to withdraw the treatment, give consent to medical interventions and to benefit from service within the frame of his/her consent.
6. Have the right to security: All patients have the right to get healthcare service in a safe environment.
7. Have the right to fulfill religious obligations: All patients have the right to fulfill their religious obligations within the frame of the measures taken by the administration and the bounds of possibility.
8. Have the right to be respected for humanitarian values, provided dignity and comfort: All patients have the right to get a healthcare service by respect, care and attention in a smiling, kind and caring environment where all sorts of hygiene measures are taken as all sorts of noisy and disturbing factors are eliminated.
9. Have the right to have a companion and to be visited: All patients have the right to accept visitors within the scope of the procedures and principles set by healthcare facilities and have the right to have companion at the boundaries of legislation, within the limits of healthcare facility and under the approval of physician.
10. Have the right to apply, complain and sue: All the patients have the right to all types of application, complaint and lawsuits within the scope of legislation in case of violation of rights.
PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
All patients;
1. Act with the awareness of being a part of the diagnosis and treatment team with a participatory approach.
Act accordingly to the rules and practices of the healthcare institutions and organizations where they apply to.
2. Provide full and exact information about their complaints, diseases they went through, treatments and medical interventions they underwent and medications they still take if any and all the information about their health as much as they can.
3. Provide feedback on the course of therapy via follow-up periods arranged by the physician.
4. Comply with dates and times of appointments and inform relevant departments if there is any update.
5. Show respect for the priority patients as well as the rights of other patients and the rights of the staff in terms of relevant legislation.
6. Avoid any verbal and physical assaultive behavior against the staff.
7. Apply to Patient Rights Unit when they encounter a problem or when they think that their rights are violated.
