The Urology Department of Ankara City Hospital is consisted of 3 Urology Departments (Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital, Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital and Atatürk Training and Research Hospital). This experienced and academically high qualified team provide advanced level of diagnosis and treatment for native and foreign patients.

We have 8 professors, 13 associate professors, 2 doctor lecturers, 2 chief residents, 8 specialists, 27 residents, 45 inpatient nurses, 16 operation room nurses, 4 outpatient nurses, 4 officers and 6 secretaries in our department. There are 4 inpatient clinics. Three of them are located on the 7th floor and the other one is on the 8th floor of the Oncology Hospital (MH6). These clinics have 90 beds in 42 single; 24 double rooms. In every clinic, one of the single rooms is an isolation room with a negative pressure ventilation system. All of the rooms include sink, WC, television (per patient), refrigerator and a sofa for the companion.

Our operation rooms are located on the first floor of Oncology Hospital. There are 9 operation rooms. Three of them have lead coatings. All of the rooms have modern medical equipments inside. There are high level precautions for preventing enfections. Three days a week robotic surgeries are performed in another room.

There are 12 outpatients clinics located on the Block E, floor B1 of Oncology building. Seven of these are for general urology patients; others are for andrology (male reproductive system and sexual health for both sexes), voiding dysfunction-urinary incontinence, renal transplantation, health counsil. All of the outpatient clinics serve on working hours of weekdays.

Congenital abnormalities; infectious diseases; neurological disorders; traumathic; benign and malignant tumours of urinary tract (kidney, renal pelvis, ureter, bladder and urethra); male reproductive system (prostate, seminal vesicles, testicles, epididim and vas deferens, penis and scrotum), adrenal gland and retroperitoneal area

Other Units in Urology

Endoscopy Unıt: This unit is located on the first floor in room number 6 of Oncology block in Ankara City Hospital. Cystoscopy, ureteral stent removal, transrectal prostate biopsy and intravesical BCG treatment under local anestesia are performed.

Urosupport Unıt: This unit is located on the B1 floor of Oncology block and urodynamic operations (cystomety, uroflowmetry, pressure-voiding) are performed in this unit.

Cavernosometry Unıt: Cavernosometry is performed for calculating the hemodynamics of penis. This unit is located in Urosupport unit.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Litotripsy Unit: This unit is located on the first floor of MHC1 in Ankara City Hospital.
