Forensic Medicine

Ankara Bilkent City Hospital Forensic Medicine Polyclinic started to provide service on June 01 2021. It was officially registered as a training clinic by Turkish Board of Medical Specialties on 10 December 2021. Thus, Forensic Medicine Training Clinic was established in Ankara City Hospital within the body of The Ministry of Health in The Republic of Türkiye for the first time. Our polyclinic works actively on weekdays between 08:30-12:00 and 13:30-16:30. Forensic Medicine Polyclinic offers authorized referee services only for Public Prosecution Offices and Criminal Courts in the field of forensic medicine and forensic science in accordance with legislation. Scientific opinion is prepared under the title of ''consultancy service'' for both parties' attorneys or anyone who needs forensic opinion in case of being ordered by Civil Courts, Commercial Courts, Administrative Courts and Insurance Arbitration Commission.

1) Official Expertise: In accordance with the related articles of Turkish Criminal Code (Law No. 5237) Official Expertise Services are provided in the fields of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Science in the subject matter ordered by Public Prosecution Offices and Criminal Courts

2) Scientific Opinion (Expert Opinion):

A committee assembles to organise expert opinion as ''scientific opinion'' for asked issues by Civil Courts, Commercial Courts, Administrative Courts and Insurance Arbitration Commission in case of being requested by individiuals or parties' attorneys within the scope of Turkish Code of Civil Procedure Article 293 and Turkish Code of Criminal Procedure Article 67 in the fields of forensic medicine and forensic science as required in Forensic Medicine Polyclinic.
