Reproductive Health Center
Ankara City Hospital Reproductive Health Center consists of six main departments:
1. Infertility Clinic: Causes of infertility (of both male and female) are investigated for couples who are married and failed to conceive after one year of regular intercourse without contraception. Medical treatment including ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination is applied when necessary. If organic pathology (polyp, ovarian cyst, myoma uterine) is detected during investigations, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy or laparotomy can be performed. Endometriosis is also treated medical or surgically in oıur center.
2. Family Planning Outpatient Polyclinic: We provide information, support and advice on contraception information, contraception procedures ( IUD, implanon, birth control pills), abortion referrals.
3. Sexual Heath Outpatient Polyclinic: We provide information, support and advice on vaginismus, dyspareunia, orgasm disorders, desire and arousal disorders.
4. Youth Centre: We provide information, support and advice for adolescents (ages between 10-24 years) on menstrual disorders, menstrual cramps, anemia, hirsutism and gynecological disorders.
5. Menopause Outpatient Polyclinic: Menopause symptoms are evaluated and laboratory tests (hormone tests, complete blood account, lipid profile, comprehensive metabolic panel) are performed. Cervical screening (smear test), bone mineral density test for osteoporosis, mammography for breast screening are performed routinely. Appropriate treatment is applied if needed.
6. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Outpatient Polyclinic: We provide information, support and advice for PCOS patients on menstrual disorders, hirsutism, acne and obesity. Symptoms are evaluated, physical examination, blood tests and ultrasound are performed. Appropriate treatment is applied. Patients are informed about long term complications of PCOS.
