Coordinator Chief Physician
Prof. Dr. Levent Öztürk was born in 1969. After completing his high school education in 1986, he enrolled in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine the same year and graduated in 1994, earning the title of Medical Doctor (MD). He began his specialty training in 1997 at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, and received the title of Specialist in Anesthesiology and Reanimation in 2002.
Following his specialization, Prof. Dr. Öztürk continued his professional career as a Specialist in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Yozgat State Hospital between 2003 and 2004. In 2004, he was appointed to Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, where he held active clinical duties. In 2013, he was appointed Deputy Chief Physician and successfully carried out this administrative role until 2017. In the same year, he was appointed Chief Physician of the hospital, taking on a significant role in the management of healthcare service delivery.
In parallel with his academic career, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and was promoted to Professor in 2019 based on his scientific publications and academic contributions. As of 2019, he began working at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, where he first served as the Administrative Head of the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Clinic, and later as both the Administrative and Educational Supervisor of the clinic. During his tenure, he played an active role in both the structuring of clinical organization and the training processes of resident and specialist physicians. As of 2025, he is serving as the Coordinating Chief Physician at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital.
Prof. Dr. Öztürk has also conducted studies in areas such as healthcare management, intensive care processes, patient safety, and the development of clinical quality standards. He has led the institutionalization of many innovative practices.
Prof. Dr. Levent Öztürk is married with two children and is fluent in English.
Academic and Scientific Activities:
He has published numerous scientific articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals in the fields of anesthesiology, intensive care, and patient management.
He has participated in many national and international congresses, symposiums, and scientific meetings as an invited speaker, session chair, and presenter.
He has taken part in various research projects in the field of Anesthesiology and Reanimation both as a principal investigator and as a researcher, and has mentored many young researchers.
He has actively served on various committees and boards related to healthcare service delivery and clinical quality improvement.
