Lung was procured in Antalya after a sixty-years-old follow-up patient having respiratory failure had been added in the transplant waitlist and a race against time started. A team from our Ankara City Hospital went to Antalya to receive the organ and the helicopter belonging to The Ministry of Health took off. The helicopter landed on the heliport of Ankara City Hospital that was opened on August 22. The organ delivered from the helicopter landed in our heliport was directly transported to the operating theater via an elevator and the transplantation was successfully performed.
