How can I go through examination?

The Unit puts patients which are approved for transplant by Ankara City Hospital Bone Marrow Transplantation Council in order for transplant. Evaluations and preparations of patients before transplant and examination, follow-up and treatments of our patients who were transplanted are carried out in BMT Polyclinic located inside The Haematology Corridor, B1 Floor

General Information About The Unit

Bone Marrow Transplant (transplantation) Unit consists of 16 rooms, having a unique ventilation system and protection conditions. Air flows as positive pressure inside the rooms (it can be converted from positive pressure to negative pressure when required) and it is cleaned by a system with High efficiency particulate absorption (HEPA) Filter continuously. It is not allowed for patients to go out of the room and unit. Hospitalization time varies between 30 and 45 days. This time period shows change depending on the type of transplant, individual and disease. Only one companion is allowed for each patient in the unit in our country. The companions are trained in washing their hands when they enter the room, putting their masks and avoiding the unit in the presence of upper respiratory tract infection onset before transplant. One person is always ready for replacement if the companion becomes sick. BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) Unit staff start to work in the unit after they complete the necessary in service trainings.
