Endocrine problems occured in children and adolescents are diagnosed and treated in Ankara City Hospital, Pediatric Endocrinology Department. Endocrine system is a complex collection of hormone-producing glands that control basic body functions such as metabolism, growth and sexual development. Endocrine diseases occur when one (or more) of human body’s hormonal systems is disrupted. The Department of Pediatric Endocrinology in Ankara City Hospital provides professional diagnostic and therapeutic care for children and adolescents with common and rare endocrine disorders. 

Our department is located in Children's Hospital, B Block, on the ground floor. Patients are examined between 08:30 - 12:00 and their results are evaluated between 13:30 - 16:00 in our polyclinics. On wednesdays, in the afternoon, doctors hold a meeting to discuss diagnosis and treatment methods in consideration of up-to-date information.

Short stature and growth disorders

Puberty Problems (pubertas praecox, delayed puberty, irregular periods, polycystic ovary syndrome etc.)

Thyroid disorders (hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodule, thyroid cancers)

Bone, calcium, phosphorus metabolism disorders

suprarenal gland disorders

Other endocrine complications of systemic illnesses and their therapies as in children with cancers, thalassemia, chronic renal disease, cystic fibrosis etc.
