Our administrative and educational chief is Prof. Dr. Erol Göka, and our educational staff consists of two professors and five associate professors (Prof. Dr. Ali Çayköylü, Assoc. Prof. Dr. I. Tuncer Okay, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Görkem Karakaş Uğurlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uğurlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat İlhan Atagün and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Süleyman Can). In addition, fourteen specialist doctors, assistant doctors who are being received psychiatry training, and assistant doctors from different branches and also clinical psychologists work in our clinic.
Our inpatient wards are located on the 2nd floor in The General Hospital Building with a capacity of 45 beds. Our polyclinic section serves patients with 11 rooms on the B2 floor in The General Hospital.
Our Psychiatry Clinic is committed to provide the highest quality service and care for our patients in a comfortable and safe environment based on a patient-focused manner. There are two major units in the department, the service where inpatients are treated and the outpatient polyclinics where virtually every aspect of psychiatric disorders and mental illnesses such as depression, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, specific phobias, social phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, Impulse Control Disorder, Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders including mood disorders, eating disorders, Acute Stress Reaction etc. are investigated. In our inpatient wards, Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) can be performed under general anesthesia when necessary.
