Pediatric Psychiatry (Child and Adolescent Mental Health)
Bilkent City Hospital Children's Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic offers service with 13 polyclinics and inpatient service ward with 15 beds which is planned to be opened in the near future.
SERVICES OFFERED:
General Polyclinic Services
Some of the outpatient services offered in our clinic are; developmental assessment of children and adolescents, assessment of mental complaints and sustaining diagnosis and treatment of those. In this regard, family assessment, pharmacological treatment, individual psychotherapy, forensic psychiatry and public-oriented preventive mental health services are provided. Health committee service is also offered including child psychiatry specialists in our hospital.
Consultation Liaison Polyclinic
Consultation-liaison polyclinic services are carried out in company with our chief residents every day of the week.
Psychometric Assessment
Psychometric tests which are approached for diagnosis or monitorization of psychiatric disorders and are considered necessary for children and adolescents after polyclinic assessment by Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists of our hospital are performed by our psychologists based on appointment.
Family Education
Psychoeducation service is offered for families intended for developmental characteristics of children and adolescents and periodic problems such as jealousy between siblings, potty training, sleeping disorders, absence of stimulus, behavioral disorders, developmental delay in our clinic.
Inpatient Ward Services
Cases which are approved for admission after assessment by child and adolescent psychiatrist working in our hospital are going to be hospitalized with their companions in our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry inpatient ward to start to provide service in the near future.
During their hospital admission, all the necessary pharmacotherapy practices, psychoeducation for our patients and their families, occupational therapy, family counseling and treatment, individual and group psychotherapies are planned to be offered for our inpatients by our treatment team.
Consultation Services
Our clinic provides consultation for studies and projects aimed to establish mental health policies regarding children and adolescents in our country.

EDUCATION
Developmental perspective for patients and their families is taught to child and adolescent psychiatry residents. This perspective embodies psychodynamic, psychosocial, biological, behavioral and cognitive development areas. Other than acquiring basic knowledge skills and mindsets during the school years of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residents, it is aimed that our residents will be self confident physicians, children's right defenders, sensitive therapists and will develop a professional sense of identity being a concerned consultant or a team member as a part of child psychiatry team.
