Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeries
Craniofacial Surgery:
Repairing all types of congenital shape abnormalities of the skull and face
Maxillofacial Surgery:
Repairing all types of congenital or accidentally occured shape and function irregularities of Soft tissues and facial bones of the facial region. Congenital anomalies such as cleft lips-palates belong to this group. Reconstruction of pinna from ribs for congenital absent pinna (complete or partial)
Microsurgeries:
It is based on suturation of very small veins and nerves under surgical microscope and it is a method used for various purposes. Open wound closure by free tissue transfer, facial palsy treatment, replantation of severed limbs are examples in this surgery group.
Oncologic Reconstructive Surgery:
Repairing functional and shape irregularities after tumor resection from any region of the body. Breast reconstruction, jaw bone reconstruction are some examples and those are performed by microsurgery techniques usually.
Hand Surgery:
Repairing all types of congenital or adventitious functional and shape irregularities of nerve-muscle-tendon-and-bone structures of arm, forearm and hand.
Wounds: Every type of simple and complicated wound closure by various medical and surgical techniques is possible. Chronic wounds, festering wounds due to venous causes, pressure sores and diabetic ulcers are healed.
Cosmetic Surgeries:
Nose Surgery: Deviation (septal deviation) can be repaired during performing aesthetic together. The surgery usually takes two-three hours. Purple discoloration and swelling may occur, but it doesn't arise in every case. Nasal packing allows you to breathe from the middle of it specially and those are removed 48 hours after the surgery. Pain may be felt during the removal of nasal pack. One week plaster cast and one week bandaging procedure are applied. Patients can return to their normal social life after two weeks.
Face-lift and Rejuvenation:
Loose and sagging skin are tightened, a younger facial appearance is gained. Neck and forehead wrinkles can be tightened in the same surgery. You can return to your normal social life approximately within two weeks. Laceration scars are from the sites which are not visible.
Eyelid Surgeries and Eye Bag Removal:
Excess skin and fat in lower and upper eyelids are removed and bags displaying a tired facial expression are also removed. Surgery scar cannot be noticed after a while. It can be performed under local anesthesia.
Botox and Filler Agents (Hyaluronic acid and and so forth):
It is a technique applied to not-too-deep wrinkles. Botox is based on the practice of injection into the muscles under the part where wrinkles are located in small volumes causing the involved muscle group to loosened for 6-8 months and not to create wrinkle. The practice must be repeated after this period of time. Duration of action is prolonged after each practice. Restylane is a synthetic filler agent called 'hyaluronic acid' and it is injected into the area where wrinkles and hollows are located. The impact is long-term but it requires to be repeated.
Repairing Ear Deformities:
It is usually performed for protruding ears. Since ear development is completed at the age of 5-6, this intervention is usually performed before school age. It is a procedure taking 2 hours under anesthesia. It is monitorized with dressing for 1-2 days and without dressing after.
The positive impact is immediately observed and more clearly when swelling goes away.
Gynecomastia:
This condition being explained as physiological or pathological enlargement of male breast is a problem frequently seen in society and it is a field of interest of Plastic Surgery. Gynecomastia surgeries are performed under local and general anesthesia by evaluation of conditions specific to patient through liposuction assisted repairment or only surgical intervention in our department.
Reduction Mammaplasty:
Patients have problems such as back pain, rash in body folds and having difficulty in finding clothing due to sagging and large breasts. Moreover, these surgeries can be performed on every patient who wants to have a proportionate body. The surgery takes 3 hours approx. Marks are left on areola and inframammary incision sites depending on the skin texture of the individual. One day of hospital stay is required. You can return to your normal activities after one week.
Augmentation Mammaplasty:
Silicone implants which are filled with silicone gel or physiological saline solution and encased by a shell made of silicone are applied to normalize underdeveloped or small breasts. When those implants having various properties, shapes and projection are inserted, you can return to your daily routine within 4-5 days. The person must avoid sports which arms are used especially and similar activities except walking for 4-6 weeks. It is not a surgery causing you to refrain from breastfeeding and performing diagnostic tests such as mammography and mammary ultrasonography. It can last lifetime. It can be completely removed on demand or replaced with a new one.
