Ankara City Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic started to serve on 07/02/2019. Our department was formed by the merger of Gastroenterology clinic doctors of Ankara Ataturk Hospital, Ankara Numune Hospital and the High Specialized Hospital, in Ankara City Hospital site. In our clinic, outpatient services are provided in the general hospital and inpatient services are provided if necessary. Consultation requests from other polyclinics are also evaluated in the polyclinics in the general hospital building. In addition, liver transplant clinic service is provided in the Oncology Hospital building and, if necessary, the inpatient service is provided for the treatment of these patients. In addition, as special disease polyclinics, patients are evaluated in Hepatology (Liver Diseases), Inflammatory bowel diseases and pancreatic diseases polyclinics.

Diseases diagnosed and treated;

Gastroenterology department deals with esophagus (esophagus) stomach and intestinal diseases, liver, gallbladder and biliary tract, pancreatic diseases.

Upper gastrointestinal system endoscopy (esophagus, stomach and twelve intestine evaluation) PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (feeding tube placement) Lower gastrointestinal system endoscopy (colonoscopy) (large intestine evaluation) Double balloon enteroscopy (small bowel assessment) Endoscopic Ultrasonography (evaluation of lesions in esophagus, stomach, pancreas and biliary tract) Anorectal endosonography (evaluation of fistula or masses at the exit of the large intestine) Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreaticography (ERCP) (diagnosis and treatment of stones or mass obstructions in the biliary tract and pancreatic duct) Liver biopsy Motility laboratory (esophageal manometer, esophageal phMeter, anorectal manometer)

There are 6 outpatient clinics, 2 Inflammatory Bowel Diseases outpatient clinics, 2 Hepatology Outpatient Clinics, and 1 Pancreatic Outpatient Clinic on the B1 floor of the general hospital. 66 beds in total on the 6th floor of General hospital (MH1) Liver transplantation outpatient clinic in Oncology Hospital (MH6) and 21-bed service in the same building Upper GIS endoscopy, lower GIS endoscopy rooms, Endosonography, Ultrasonography and liver biopsy unit, ERCP and motility laboratory within the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Unit

How Do I Get Examined?

Outpatient application without an appointment (by taking the order number from the counters in the hospital)

Patients who are found to be suitable for inpatient examination and treatment from the patients who are examined, are either hospitalized immediately in the inpatient service or written to the appointment list by contacting the secretary. Patients who are included in the appointment list are called by the service secretary for admission to the service when the bed condition is appropriate.
