General Information About The Department

Ankara City Hospital Ophthalmology Clinic was established as a combination of Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital Eye Clinic and Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital Eye Clinic. Our clinic provides service as a reference center, offering further diagnosis and advanced treatment for all common and rarely seen eye diseases by concerning all segments of the eye with its academic and experienced staff. Additionally, it is an international center where patients from abroad are accepted.   


Diagnosis and Treatment:

Adult and underage patients are diagnosed and treated to the greatest extent. Among those, vision problems, diagnosis and treatment of cataract, early diagnosis follow-up, medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, diagnosis and treatment of Retina diseases (age related macular degeneration or yellow spot disease, inherited retinal diseases, retinal artery obstructions, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, vitreus diseases), intraocular medicine practices, Cornea diseases (diagnosis and treatment of keratoconus, cornea transplant, contact lens practices including scleral lens, diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes, allergic eye diseases, cornea infections, childhood and adultery strabismus (follow-up and surgical treatment of crossed eyes, treatment of amblyopia also known as lazy eye, botox practices, Neuro-Ophthalmologic Diseases, diagnosis and treatment of optic nerve disorders, diseases of the uvea (Behçet's Disease, uveitis, choroiditis), oculoplastic approaches (droopy eyelids, eyelid tumors, cosmetic eyelid surgeries), diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired blocked tear duct.

How can I undergo examination?


Patients make MHRS appointment via internet or 182. Patients without appointment can take a number, considering patient density, on the understanding that urgent patients are given priority if they apply to Ophthalmology Polyclinic located on the B1 Floor in MH1 Block.
